If anyone I know needs an oral surgeon, I will Recommend this PLACE. The staff were so nice and friendly. The office was super clean and... neat...the music will have you jamming. It’s been 3 weeks since I had my wisdom tooth removed and my overall experience was great! Now you may say what is so great about getting a... tooth extracted. Well, I have never had it done and quite frankly I was afraid. I was taken to the back almost immediately, and given a thorough explanation of my procedure, and what to expect during and after. First off let me start by saying i was traumatized to get my wisdom teeth taken out. It took me almost 3 years from the initial day that my... primary dentist told me that i need them out ASAP. I finally got referred from my old dentist (which is now my daughters dentist) DR. Morrison and his team. I logged in and looked at the reviews and i was astonished. Every review was good. Some people wrote personal concerns but i know you can’t satisfy everyone. When i read ALL the comments, i was amazed. I then called and set my appointment. When i came in the lady at the front desk was very helpful. She put up with my 1001 questions and ensured me that I’ll do great. She even came back and checked on me to see how i was doing before the procedure. Mariah walked me through every step. I am so thankful for her patience and great people skills. She was there every step of the way during the procedure. I refused to get put to sleep so I used laughing gas. I started to freak out once the medicine started kicking in but Mariah reassured me that i was ok and to just breath. I did just that and i started to calm down. The doctor then came in and she’s amazing. She made sure i was comfortable and numb enough before starting the procesure. She’s straight forward and also a great listener ( even though i know i talked ENTIRELY to much) but it eased my mind. I was done in 15 min and i was told that i did great. So if you are scared of getting any work done in your mouth, just know this is the place! They are an amazing group. Every individual there greeted me with a smile. They even stopped and talked to me when i asked have they had their wisdom teeth pulled. Couldn’t have asked for a better team. They did so good that I’m sending them a gift this week.read more

Excellent customer service. And a welcoming at home feel when you go for a visit. My daughter is 14 and had all her wisdom teeth extracted.... Receptionist Andrea helped me over the phone. I was all over the place. She was calming and full of patience. She helped me with all my insurance questions and they were so busy that day. Even the phones were tied up but she never rushed my call. Excellent service. I would recommend for anyone. Dr Perez is excellent with teenagers. Rachel was my daughter's dental assistant she was very knowledgeable and accommodating. Dr Perez is my new go to for all my oral surgery needs. I give them 10 stars. They are awesome.read more

I went in to have all 4 of my wisdom teeth removed in early December. I can honestly say that the experience exceeded my expectations. The... procedure went smoothly, Dr. Nkungula and her staff are extremely professional and understanding.Given the controversy around opioids, she is transitioning patients away from narcotic paid meds, and instead prescribes a combination of strong Tylenol and Ibuprofen. I was a skeptic that this would actually work and keep me comfortable following the procedure. She reassured me and even provided me her personal cell to call over the weekend in the event I needed something stronger. But the non-narcotic meds WORK. I experienced no discomfort taking the meds as prescribed. And because she did not hear from me over the weekend, Dr. Nkungula personally called me Monday morning to make sure things were going as planned.I had my own personal reservations about taking narcotic paid meds, so it’s nice to find a doctor that’s willing to go against convention and find another way. It honestly doesn’t get any better than that.read more

Best Oral Surgeon in the Business! Twice I've seen Dr.Nkungula in A Three year Span and both times at two Different Locations I was treated... like Royalty By Every Single Member of her Staff.My First Visit was in 2015 I had two wisdom teeth impacted which damaged a Total of (5) Five teeth and the top two wisdom's needed to be removed also ,A Total of (7) teeth,Keep in mind I had never had a cavity and had all 32 of my teeth for the last 23 years of my life ,so I'd never been to an oral surgeon or had a tooth pulled. I shopped around before finding Dr.Nkungula And was frightened by every Dentist I went to that wanted to pull half of the teeth now and half later. I Found Dr.Nkungula's office and made an appointment for a consultation and my fears and worries were laid to rest literally,Her office staff made me feel comfortable and at home ,I knew they cared. On the day of my surgery I remember heading to the office for my surgery and I still to this day don't remember having that surgery but my mouth healed great just 10 days later . I wouldn't care if I lived in California,I'd fly right back to DC if I need to see an oral surgeon. Recently I went to a Dentist who after hours of having me waiting tells me that they can't figure out why I'm in pain ,Says we are going to Give you a referral to an oral surgeon,I responded No I have my own oral Surgeon,He says who ,I tell him Dr.nkungula and the dentist says well that's exactly who we are referring you too.So after days in pain I make way to Dr.Nkungula's New office in pain only to be greeted several times by different people who kept smiling and being concerned and caring,It wasn't even 10min and I was being ushered to the back to get CT scan and Met by Dr.Nkungula Who welcomed me and identified the issue and had it rectified in mere minutes. Clean, pleasant staff also an awesome doctor.She took care of my mouth 👄 but I came out of her office feeling great about loving... all of me. After being sick for so many years of a thyroid disease. I loved the convenience of the office being right there. One day I was in so much pain. I was thinking I had to go to the original office I... went to in Largo but I just so happen to be on Good Hope Rd and the office was right there. I was so happy. I must have went past this building 15 times and never knew it was affliliated. Then again this was my first Orthodontist here in DC.The office staff was fast friendly and clean.read more

Great service horrible listening skills. I got all 4 wisdom teeth pulled and I had told them before the surgery 800 mg Motrin would not... work. Here I am 2-3 hrs after surgery in excruciating pain . They could've at least adhered to my request now I have to go to another hospital just for better pain medicationread more

Excellent services! Very clean dental office! The staff are always helpful. Best part to me is the DR. She has a warm smile and connects... with you as a patient. We live in Richmond, VA, but my daughter has been in MD visiting her grandparents this week and had some complications after her wisdom teeth were removed last week. Her oral surgeon here in Richmond (also so wonderful - Dr. Omar Watson) personally contacted Dr. Tania Nkungula so that my daughter could be seen as quickly as possible. Dr. Nkungula, her office manager Miko, her nurse, everyone in her office was fantastic. They worked my daughter in to be seen on the same day even though they were very busy. I really can't say enough about how grateful I am. Highly recommend! This is patient care/customer service that goes way above and beyond! THANK YOU! �Tamika Knox

The staff and doctor is very nice and professional I had 2 teeth pulled and was very nervous but the doctor an staff made me feel very calm. The staff is very good � at calling to check up on u the next day for 2 wk f/u appointment and they make sure u have plenty of pain meds/ antibiotics. I love � this place it just takes a long time be prepared to wait 4hrs after your scheduled appt it's worth the wait.
